Showroomprivé Appoints Melissa Reiter Birge, Marie Ekeland and Olivier Marcheteau as Independent Directors of the Board

Following its IPO on the regulated market of Euronext Paris on October 30th 2015, Showroomprivé announces its Board of Directors. The richness and diversity of the Board members will support the company in pursuing its rapid growth in France and internationally.

Composed of ten members, Showroomprivé's Board of Directors includes personalities with expertise in fashion, the Internet and new technologies.

Showroomprivé announces the appointment of three Independent Directors, in compliance with the criteria set out in the AFEP-MEDEF Code: Marie Ekeland, Founder of Daphni and co-Founder and co-Chairman of France Digitale, Melissa Reiter Birge, CFO of KAYAK Software Corporation and Olivier Marcheteau, Chief Executive Office of Vestiaire Collective.

Mr. Hendrik Nelis and Mr. David Gu, represent respectively Accel Partners and Vipshop Holdings, which hold minority stakes in the company's share capital.

According to a two-year rotation of the Chairmanship of the Board, David Dayan and Thierry Petit will alternate between the positions of Chairman of the Board & CEO and Deputy CEO. Showroomprivé's Board of Directors is currently chaired by David Dayan.

Biography of the Members of the Board:

David Dayan is a co-founder, along with Thierry Petit, of Showroomprivé.com, which launched in 2006. He has been Chief Executive Officer of the Group since its creation. Before the creation of Showroomprivé.com, he worked in the stock clearance sector for 15 years, during which he developed significant experience, know-how and a network of relationships with brands and wholesalers. He was the CEO of FRANCE EXPORT. He began his career at the age of 18 in a family-run wholesale/clearance business.

Thierry Petit is a co-founder, along with David Dayan, of Showroomprivé.com, which launched in 2006. He has been a Director and Deputy CEO of the Group since its creation. Thierry Petit began his career in digital agencies in 1995 and, at the age of 25, created the first price comparison tool in France (toobo.com), which was sold to Libertysurf in July 2000. Thierry Petit has nearly 20 years of experience in launching start-ups. He is also vice-chairman of the Board of France Digitale. Thierry Petit studied telecommunications engineering.

Hendrik Nelis has been a member of SRP Group's Board of Directors since 2010. He joined Accel Partners in 2004 and invests in both early and late-stage Internet and software companies.

David Gu has been a member of SRP Group's Board of Directors since November 2015. He is in charge of corporate development at Vipshop Holdings Limited.

Eric Dayan served as inventory management director and sales director from 2000 to 2006 for FRANCE EXPORT, specialized in the clothing and shoe distribution sector. In 2006, he was involved in the creation of Showroomprive.com as an associate director. He is currently in charge of B to B activities at Showroomprivé.

Michaël Dayan contributed to the creation of the Showroomprive.com adventure. An entrepreneur by nature, he assists the site on commercial and legal subjects while ensuring the implementation of its business plan.

In 2007, Mathieu Laine created Altermind, a strategy consulting firm that advises several CEOs of the CAC 40, leaders of firms in France and internationally, as well as successful entrepreneurs and governments. In 2015, he co-founded the Hypermind prediction markets company in London with Emile Servan-Schreiber. As a columnist at Le Point, he has an active media presence and publishes essays in defence of freedom. His next book is "Dictionnaire amoureux de la Liberté" (Plon, January 2016).

 

Biography of the Independent Directors:

Melissa Reiter Birge is CFO of KAYAK Software Corporation, a US e-commerce company where she has worked since 2009. From 2002 to 2009, she held various positions, including controller, at Orbitz, Inc., and Vice-President of Finance at Potbelly Sandwich Works, LLC, a chain of restaurants.

Olivier Marcheteau is CEO and Board member of the French start-up Vestiaire Collective, dedicated to the online sale of pre-owned fashion and luxury, present in France and the United Kingdom since 2014. He began his career at Procter & Gamble before working at Nike. He joined Microsoft in 2004 and became MSN France's director in 2006. In 2008, he was appointed to the head of consumer products at Microsoft in France. He joined Casino in October 2010 as chairman of Cidscount and non-food e-commerce director of the group, where he developed the retail website, opened its marketplace and completed the acquisition of Monshowroom.

Marie Ekeland is the founder of Daphni. She began her career in 1997 as an IT specialist at the investment bank JP Morgan. In 2000, Marie joined the innovation investment team at CPR Private Equity, then continued her career on the Venture Capital team at Crédit Agricole Private Equity before joining Elaia Partners in 2005. She is also the co-founder and co-Chair of France Digitale, uniting entrepreneurs and investors in digital innovation for the development of this ecosystem.
